  • 1.  RA FTP Solution jar on v24.4

    Hi Community,
     
    Has anyone tried RA FTP Solution jar 4.1.4 on v24.4, does it work?
     
    Why am I asking this question because in v24.4 agent ra core supports "open jdk java 17".  RA FTP Solution jar 4.1.4 supports open jdk java 11.  Same question for RA webservice rest.

    Have you looked at the new Integration (IG) Agents for FTP and REST?  They support Java 17 and are easier to install (there is no dbload step to install these new agents, the solution is activated when the agents initially connect).

    Important : once you have installed the new Agent, you cannot use old RA Agent anymore. It is not possible to run both Agents side-by-side. So be sure to test and plan your install before you start.

    Yes . i know.  Here it is my link:  Migrate from RA Agent to Integration Agent for the same type of agent

    No company would do this quickly migration agents without testing . We will always plan ahead. The question I want to ask here is clear but you have not answered the question.  We did not want to deal with ftp agent conversion , while dealing with the v24 upgrade. That's all.

    Hi @Olgun Onur Ozmen

    The component RA FTP v4.1.4 is not part of any Offering v24.4 (or up) and was replaced by IG FTP v24. Therefore, you cannot use this RA Core component for running (old) RA FTP.

    You have to use RA Core from v24.3 to run old RA FTP which requires Java 11.
