  • 1.  Problem with updating NetOps Spectrum to HTTPS

    Posted Feb 24, 2025 11:06 AM

    Hello all!

I faced with some troubles with updating configure OneClick to HTTPS, namely at this point "Configure HTTPS Support for OneClick WebApp" i configured lines in /webtomcat/conf/server.xml files according instructions, but then manual offers me change the follow file " $SPECROOT/webtomcat/bin/webswing.properties" but i dont have it in my server.

And if i restart my tomcat and webtomcat server, i can connect to tomcat server but when i am trying to connect through OneClick WebApp i faced with this ussue "..Not able to reach OneClick Webapp. Process might be stopped. Please start the Spectrum WebTomcat Process and re-launch".

Can anybody help me to solve this.

    Ivan,

If you have not done so already, I highly recommend opening a case with Spectrum support.

They would need to look at your environment and tomcat configurations.

Thank you for reply Joseph, i will definitely contact to Spectrum support but later because i dont have credentials right now.
But since i haven't contacted them yet maybe you give me a direction to solve this issue because only webclickapp remains faulty, tomcat and etc works well with https.

I would start by looking at the $SPECROOT/tomcat/conf/server.xml and $SPECROOT/webtomcat/conf/server.xml files.

So yes, i chanched these files according manual (comment out lines with 80 port and add 8443 port in tomcat conf.xml and added the same block but with 9443 port in webtomcat conf.xml).
And unfortunately it doesnt work, tomcat works properly but when i am trying to launch webtomcat it raises error.

    Ivan,

We would need to look at the following information from the OneClick system

    • $SPECROOT/webtomcat/logs/catalina.out (Linux) stdout.log (Windows)
    • $SPECROOT/webtomcat/bin/logs/webswing.log
    • $SPECROOT/webtomcat/conf/server.xml

    Hello Britta!
Thanks for reply, it is very userful video, however on the timestamp 2:34 the author opened files .../bin/webswing.properties and webswing-admin.properties. BUT as i said in my top post, i have not these files in my webtomcat directory and as i think exactly it is the reason why it doesnt properly for me.
And I have no clue how can i solve it and what is wrong with my Spectrum instance.

    Ivan,

You can try unzipping the $SPECROOT/webtomcat/webswing.zip file and then restart webtomcat.

If that does not work, then I do not see any choice but to run a reinstall.
