  • 1.  PREP_PROCESS using UC_LOGON_AS_BATCH

    Hi,

I have the problem that the PREP_PROCESS has to login as a batch user on a certain Windows agent. The documentation states that I have to add the parameter

(Windows) To execute a Windows command on a host where UAC is enabled, add UC_LOGON_AS_BATCH=Y as a parameter of PREP_PROCESS.

Unfortunately it does not state WHERE I have to add it, All formats I have tried did not work. Has someone an idea?

    Update:
I put the parameter directly before the login. I think that this is the right place. But then the command on the Windows host does not compile a proper result.

    Thanks,
    Juergen

    Hi Jürgen,

I have not tried it, but the documentation from v12.1 lists this parameter "UC_LOGON_AS_BATCH=Y" in the action area

PREP_PROCESS (Host, EventJob[, Filter], Action [, Column separation]...[, UC_LOGIN=Login object])

But as "action" you usually define the command to be executed (cmd=<command>). I have no idea (ans there is no example) how you can use multiple commands/parameters ...

    regards,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,

each version seems to behave a little bit different. When you place the cursor you will see

This is from a recently upgraded 24.4.0 HF3. "Action" and "Column separation" are now labelled "Parameter". After entering the parameter at this place the error message changed from

    to

I would not have asked if the command would have been executed properly. But a simple "DIR d:\" does not work - nor any other command I have tried. So I am still trying everything to make this running.

    Regards,
    Jürgen

Info update: We created the internal defect DE172914 to extend the user documentation by an example.
