Plan of Plans: Annual Planning with Rally

We are excited to announce that our long-awaited Plan of Plans functionality has arrived under "Feature Preview"!

For years Rally has excelled at helping you plan work for your releases/quarters with our Capacity Planning capabilities, but many of you have wondered how to leverage this to plan for something bigger.  Can I do this for a full year?  How about for multiple delivery streams or portfolio items larger than Features?

We now have a definitive answer for you:  Yes you can!

Once you enable "Plan of Plans" from your "Feature Preview" menu you'll have access to a new type of Capacity Plan conveniently named "Plan of Plans".

 

This type will facilitate Capacity Planning activities for an item type larger than a feature for one or more delivery streams over a series of releases.  From there, you can connect single-release Capacity Plans and see all your plans from a single page!  Never before has it been easier to track your yearly plans and progress!

"Plan of Plans" will now be moving into "Open Beta" which means it will be generally available and accessible to anyone that has a "Planner" role.
