Sorry, this does not answer my question. I do not want to add any subnets.
I have more than 400 locations so I cannot add each of them to the list. I
am worried that site 1 will try to get P2P downloads from site 2 for
instance. Machines in site 1 should only be able to download from other
machines in site 1. So I need to know how to configure the P2P setting to
allow this

If there is a requirement to allow P2P only for appropriate subnets, then click "Add" button and select required subnets > save changes and refresh policy on client computers

Thank you for the article. I just need to know what the correct settings should be. My configuration (as set by the previous administrator) is similar to the screenshot you sent and the one in the article.

I just need to know about the "Build network" options as shown with the arrow. Mine is also configured as "Build network for agent subnets" with nothing in the block. Is this what is causing the agents to go out to machines not on the same IP subnet? Is the option to "Build network for site" the one that will restrict P2P traffic to the local IP subnet?
Regards,
Jacques

Hi Jacques Bence!
Here is all information about P2P functionality in Symantec Management Agent (There is shown Targeted Agent Settings policy where you can specify subnets or Sites for P2P to work in) https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/184990/how-to-configure-peertopeer-downloading.html

Best regards,
IP.

Good day,
Can someone please explain to me how the peer to peer downloading works? With Microsoft products for endpoint management peer to peer downloads only happen between machines on the same IP subnet range, but we see with CMS that they try to download from peers outside of their own IP subnet.
Regards,
Jacques
