    Hello Community,

As many of you are aware, CentOS 7.x and RHEL 7.x will be EOL at the end of June 2024. At that time, we will only officially support installing the software gateway to RHEL 8.x and RHEL 9.x.

Not only do we want to give customers more choice, but we have had customers ask us to support non-RHEL operating systems. In some cases, those were general requests. In other cases, customers have asked us to support specific operating systems.

As we begin planning for our next PI, we would like to hear your thoughts on operating system support. Is RHEL enough? If you want or need support for another operating system, which ones would be acceptable? Do you require a statement of full support, or would a statement of reasonable commercial effort support suffice? Are you up against a timeline?

Note, these questions only apply to software gateway installs. The virtual gateway will continue to use Debian, and the container gateway will continue to use RHEL UBI 9 minimal from IronBank for the foreseeable future.

    Thanks,
