New Update Discovery Utility Accelerates Updates to SSM Policy Table

Hello, OPS/MVS community! The OPS/MVS team is pleased to announce the release of the new Update Discovery utility for System State Manager version 3. The Update Discovery utility, released with feature PTF LU15223, speeds up the SSM discovery process in two ways:

• When the utility updates the SSM policy table, it ignores resources that are already in your SSM policy.

• With the Update Discovery utility, you can create an exclusion list for resources that are not managed by SSM, so that when the utility scans your system, it ignores resources on the list.
