    To our valued customers:
To simplify the notification process for alerts, the event detector definition process now includes EMAIL as a notification action.
Previously, to send an email, you had to use the AUTO_TROUBLE_TICKET action, ensuring that the trouble ticket interface (/ALTTI) was defined specifically for email notifications. In NetMaster 13.0, the EMAIL action greatly simplifies the notification process, as it works works independently from the trouble ticket interface. You need only specify the email address and the contents of the email, and on the first occurrence of the alert, NetMaster automatically sends an email to the specified recipient(s).
Before you implement an EMAIL action, review any previously defined AUTO_TROUBLE_TICKET actions to determine if it would be appropriate to change to an EMAIL action, to allow more information to be sent to end users.
For additional details on the EMAIL action, and to see the standard variables that you can use in the body of the email, refer to the 3270 help.
To enable the new EMAIL action functionality, review the HOLDDATA and apply PTF LU15560.
