MySQL Group Replication for OTK

Hi,

Our setup has two independent Gateway clusters in two independent sites.

The OTK MySQL Database is logically common to both sites - it's actually two masters (plus two slaves), one master/slave in each site which means that we have to be careful not to write to both masters at the same time.

Would MySQL Group Replication be a better solution for this ... has anyone else configured this ... is it supported, or do we not specify support at that level of detail?

Hi David,

I checked with our engineering team and they don't see any issue with using Group Replication so we would support you if you ran into issues. They did point out that there is a possibility of some data inconsistency in a failover condition which is to be expected if something were to go down before the data was fully synced across the group.
