  • 1.  Move device from one spectrum server to another spectrum server in DSS environment

    Posted 23 days ago

    Hi Community,

We have DSS environment and all are connected to MLS so we have discovered some devices in spectroserver1 instead of spectroserver2 so I would like to know is there any mechanism that can migrate or move devices from spectroserver1 to spectroserver2?

    Kindly suggest!

You should be using Modeling Gateway.

That is, if you don't want to move all models from one SS to another, as you can use SSdsave/SSdbload -m.

    Hi Catalin,

    Thank you for your response.

As you mentioned, if I want to export only few models then I need to use SSdbsave/SSdbload with -m parameter. Is that right?

But how do I define the command to get only particular models in SSdbsave command as it allows only -m or -c or -mc?

    Please guide!

    Eshwar,

Unfortunately you cannot use SSdbsave to save only a few models. It will save all models. You cannot use SSdbload to load only a few models. It will load all models from the save.

You can use the Modeling Gateway to export specific models.  Reference https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/spectrum/23-3/customizing/modeling-gateway-toolkit.html

However, if it is only a few models than deleting them from the one landscape and then running a model by ip in the new landscape will probably be the easiest.
