By unavailable did you mean exists but not running?
I see these scenarios:
- Service exists but is not running (or maybe alert on running, i see rare cases of this)
- Service existed but has been removed
- Service never existed
In terms of #4, the problems I see with templates is often they alert if the service does not exist when I want to only have the template applied when the service actually exists.
Just verifying to be sure how you meant this template should operate.
