Subject: Liveupdate single file download failure.
Have recently enabled option in SEPM for end users to manually run Liveupdate for their client-side Symantec Endpoint Protection. The Liveupdate proceeds normally, but during the process there is the following message:
"Downloading update package (1 of 1) failed.
Encountered an error while downloading file 1697732116jtun_hidefs.7z.
Files downloaded: 0
...
Encountered an error while processing an update for Windows Host Integrity Content.
Failed to install update for Windows Host Integrity Content."
The SEPM is on an airgapped server and the Liveupdate files are manually transferred into it. If there are new Liveupdate files to be downloaded they will be downloaded and processed normally, and the SEP is also updated normally (eg. Virus & Spyware Protection, Proactive Threat Protection etc. all show up-to-date definitions). Have checked product catalog in Liveupdate server, the only excluded downloads are for other OSes (Mac, Linux, etc) and non-English versions of SEP (not used in this environment). Version of endpoint client is 14.3 RU5.
Not sure if this is a configuration issue somewhere in SEPM, LUA, or if there is some other (legacy?) option enabled in current SEP setup that is no longer receiving its required update due to not reading any update files coming in on the SEPM/LUA side.
