Linux client Ubuntu 24 Install crashes OS at Kernel Modules package

Anyone else installed the Linux client RU9 on Ubuntu 24?

Mine crashed the OS when installing the Kernel Modules package. Support cased opened but no help so far.

Yes, we have the same issue. We have a support case open and have provided logs.

From our case:

"Our ESXi hosts run 8.0.3 and the virtual machines are configured with hardware version 21, ESXI 8.0 U2.

When we try to install the 14.3 RU9 agent on Ubuntu 24.04, the OS crashes. If we install the 14.3 RU9 agent on Ubuntu 22.04, everything works as expected.

If we change the hardware version to version 19, ESXi 7.0 U2, the install is successful on Ubuntu 24.04."

If this is still an issue then kindly make sure your using the newly released Symantec Agent for Linux version 14.3 RU9 MP1 Build  9557. 

This specific version adds support for Ubuntu 24.04. 

If you continue to have issues with 14.3 RU9 MP1 Build  9557, then kindly open a ticket with Support for further review.
