See the documentation page Service Manager Parameters, and specifically the description of SMGR_PORT_RANGE. You can specify a single inclusive range of TCP ports that will be scanned for running Service Manager processes. This happens automatically when an agent connects to the AE system, and can be triggered manually from the Agents view of the Administration perspective in the AWI, using the function Update Service Manager Link.

(Note that the documentation mistakenly refers to this function using the outdated term Verify connection to ServiceManager. I pointed this out problem in 2014, but it has yet to be corrected.)

There is no way to specify multiple non-contiguous port numbers, or multiple non-adjacent ranges of port numbers. I proposed adding these capabilities in 2016, and Broadcom initially accepted my proposal. Unfortunately, Broadcom later reversed this decision.

Apologies for the many broken links in these discussions. Some of these links were broken during Automic's migration of its ideas platform from SalesForce to Jive; some were broken during Broadcom's questionable migration of discussions from Jive to Higher Logic; and some were broken when Broadcom unceremoniously deleted the majority of user-submitted ideas.
