Is there any way we can change the Host/Host Group names for a bulk jobs

Hi team,

We are looking for a way to update the Host or Host Group names in bulk across multiple jobs. In the current setup, as shown in the screenshot, the agent field is populated with an outdated Host or Host Group.

Our need is to replace this old value with a new Host Group or Agent across all relevant jobs, ideally through a bulk update.

 Please let us know if any scripts are available for this modification.

there are multiple options:

*) XML-Export / Search-Replace / XML-Import
*) JSON-Export using the REST API / Replace / JSON-Import using the REST API
*) Unload objects using Transport Case (DBUnload) / Change-Utility ucybchng / Load objects (DBLoad)

you can also change the used Agent in AWI by doing the following:

1. switch to Administration perspective
2. open the Agent list in Agent & Groups  - Agent
3. select the old Agent and open the object-menu
4. select the menu-option Replace
5. mark/un-mark the Jobs where you want to replace the Agent

If you regularly have to replace agents, you might want to consider using an external toolkit that can handle this automatically.
This would save you a lot of time.

even if this is somehow outdated a few cents from my side.

As you have seen no one is proposing a DB change. There is also no scripting solution for that. Markus and Michael have pulled out the usual vendor built ways to perform the task.

Companies are offering self-service solutions that sometimes also contain functions for development support. My company is also offering something. Our solution MyAutomation has a command line component called MyA Console. It hat tons of commands to be used by developers and/or operators (or maintenace JOBS). One of them allows you to list attributes of filtered objects and also to change them on the fly - easy and safe.
