We are currently on verison 22.2.x and are in process of upgrading to 22.3.x and with that said, we are hoping this issue is fixed after the upgrade. As the newer Cisco 9300 series switches are discovered, they are added in NCM to the Cisco IOS device family. When we are trying to upload configuration changes (individual or multiple devices) the upload is not processing correctly and produces a variation of error messages.
And backing up the device configurations would not function in some cases. Has anyone else seen this behavior and if so, what was done to correct it?
We had similar issues with the newer Cisco 9800L wireless controllers where they would not backup the controller configurations, nor allow push changes with NCM. These devices were placed in the NCM IOS SSH Capable device family, which is another OOB device family. Not sure how Spectrum is making the determination of where to place the devices in NCM, but I was of the understanding that each NCM device family uses a different XML script for the configuration upload, so it would deem it imperative that the device be properly placed for the XML Upload Scripts to work properly. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you ...
