Hi Anicet,
Thank you for your response. So far, I have started by adding a precondition to the JOBP. Setting the variable, key, column, etc...
This appears to be working. Now I'm onto another JOBS within this JOBP that I'm trying to figure out why it's doing what it's doing!
For your response to adding the needed information in the promptset of the properties?
This is where I fall short of AE scripting. What would this look like?

Hi @bke121873,
could you try to use your JOBP in other JOBP and then fill the informations needed by your promptset in the properties of the task ?
Finally, run the new JOBP.
You can also hardcode in the variable attribut of your object JOBP.
Regards,
Anicet

Subject: Hardcoding of promptset values
Hi everyone,
I'm new to the interworkings of AE. I've been supporting the infrastructure for a while but never delved into the code and how to get objects to do what you ask them to do. I'm new to scripting in WIN as well.
That said, we are running AE v21.0.8 on WIN 2019 SE servers. Running a 2019 MSSQL DB. I'm in need of the best\easiest way to hardcode a VAR into a promptset?
We have a JOBP that runs our DB maintenance which then runs several other objects (JOBS/JOBP) etc... I have copied this JOBP off for testing what I'm hoping can be done.
When I kickoff the main JOBP, I want the PROMPTSET to not prompt but just run with what's defined in the variables object?
Thank you
