This is a forward-looking statement. This is subject to change at any time without notice.  The development, release, and timing remain at Broadcom's sole discretion.

Our certification plans for 2025 are as follows. This thread will be updated as changes occur.

How do "ideas" submitted and listed for Gen get into the plans each year?  When I look at the Gen ideas that have been submitted, the 2 listed as "Committed - Open" have 3 and 8 votes and one of the 2 was added in 2024.  There are several which are 3+ years old with 10+ votes up to 19.  It would seem from the voting that customers have higher priorities for what we would like to see added to the tool than what is chosen to be added.  Should we continue to "vote" on ideas if it doesn't seem to help in prioritizing tool updates ?

Thank you for the question, I can see that the process could be more clear.
Ideas and votes from the Gen community are absolutely important in how we plan for the future of Gen, however they are one of many factors we consider in how we prioritize what the team works on and when. We also consider other aspects of any idea that comes in from the community such as the amount of effort required, the urgency, whether there are existing solutions that meet the same need, the support requirements, etc. If I may speak directly to your examples, the idea that is marked as committed from last year was found to be a dependency for our other modernization goals and so was moved to the top of our priorities. The idea with 19 votes, while important, has an existing documented field solution and requires a quite large effort from our development team to implement.

Zach ...... Thanks for the reply and input.  What would probably be helpful for us as customers, or me anyway, would be to have a way of addressing the top X number of vote getting ideas (whatever that number is) to explain why these ideas that have more customer support in the way of votes are not being implemented and some way of possibly forecasting a timeframe of when Broadcom plans to address that idea in the tool  (with, of course, the appropriate legal disclaimers).   That might help in organizations like the one I am at to let the decision makers know that ideas which would benefit the organization aren't being ignored and are being planned for, however far out in the future.
