File Master™ Plus for IMS - Extract HALDB selective partition processing support

New File Master Plus for IMS v12 feature PTF LU17823 has been released!

This PTF enhances the Extract utility so it can extract data from a HALDB by partition(s) in both online and in Batch interfaces. 

The product changes include:

• the addition of an Extract Panel popup that allows to select the desired partition(s),

• new default processing option HALDB Partition Selection which is available via the Processing Defaults and Jobcard panel and

• new JCL HALDB control statement for Batch processing.

You can now use the new File Master™ Plus for IMS v12 PTF LU17823 to extract HALDB data by selecting specific partitions either online through the new Extract Panel popup or in batch using the updated JCL control statement. Simply set your preferred partitions via the "HALDB Partition Selection" option in Processing Defaults/Jobcard panel for consistent runs, and in batch jobs use the new HALDB control statement for precise partition-level extraction this ensures better performance and flexibility when working with large HALDB databases. 👍
