  • 1.  Extracting libraries to local models.

We are running Plex 7.2.1 (build 24.000). Our models libraries some of them are big. It takes a long time, I mean 20 to 30 minutes, to extract 2 or 3 libraries into a local model.

Is there a way to speed up this process?
Do we need to upgrade to 7.3?

    Thanks - John

    Hello John,

Plex 7.2.1 Build Level 24001 (so the first Build Level for 24000 that you are using according to your post) included a fix (for your reference it was Fix No 2486) to improve group model extract/update performance. So it could perhaps be worth giving it a try in a test whether it solves the problems you are experiencing. Please observe that Build Level 24001 as the name suggests was the first Build level for Plex 7.2.1, the most recent one in the meantime being 24006. So perhaps you should consider to directly go to 24006, but of course this is your decision. In order to get the respective Build Level you should contact your software supplier.

As far as your question of upgrading to Plex 7.3. is concerned, please note that for Plex 7.3, Visual Studio Professional 2022 is required for the WinC/WinNTC variant, 2013 won't work.

    Best regards
