Hi Ivan,
I think the DX OI has separate license and it will be as the following:
For The License Calculation:The number of Devices is computed based on the data source for DX Operational Intelligence
software.
1 license of DX Operational Intelligence deployed on-premise entitles analytics on data ingested
from:
- 2 devices monitored by DX Application Performance Management (DX APM SaaS or onprem)
- OR 2 devices monitored by DX Infrastructure Management (DX IM on-prem)
- OR 4 devices monitored by DX Netops Manager
- OR 1 device monitored by a Third party monitoring tool
Devices monitored by DX Application Performance Management, DX Infrastructure
Management and DX Netops Manager are counted by the mechanism followed by those
respective tools.
For third party monitoring tools, the following are counted as 1 device each: a host, a device, a
node, an application, a server, a computer system and 4 agents.
For Installation:
Installation of DOI is based on the DX platform which contains: (DX OI , DX APM and AXA )
so you will install DX platform and during the installation you can select option DX OI .
For Sizing:
I think you should involve your Broadcom/CA Support with you because it depends on many factors but it needs more infrastructure servers because it uses machine learning and analytics for ( Predictive Insights and Capacity Analytics )

Subject: DX OI installation
Hello all,
I'm new in all this story about OI so I have few questions regarding installation.
We have DX UIM, DX NetOps, DX APM licenses that includes DX OI.
Now we want to use OI so we could have one place where we should check if everything is ok.
First of all I don't know if DX OI that is included in UIM, NetOps and APM license is On-Prem or SaaS?
If it is On-Prem (preferred) than I would like to know what are system and resource requirements for the servers?
I have searched this in the documentation (Installing), but it says to check DX platform and DX Platform requirements are insane (Sizing the Environment). All assumptions are made for very large number of metrics and agents and we have Small Scale installation, less than 500 agents/robots.
I would appreciate any comments, ideas, tips...
