Driver updates with Patch Management possible?

Is there a way to use patch management to install drivers in client machines? When we run windows updates on the client machines there are driver updates that show up that are not in Altiris. Example image below.

Hi Shawn, devices drivers are not a part of standard Altiris patch datafeed at the moment.

While there are no immediate plans to extend datafeed with them we plan to check whether it's posslbe to deploy device drivers using our integration with Windows Update (https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/184969/deploying-software-updates-with-windows.html).

Hi Shawn, device drivers installation is now possible using integration with Windows Update with the new version of AeXPatchWUTool published to production this week.

Good question, Shawn. Patch Management is mainly focused on software/security updates, so driver updates usually won't appear there. You'd need to handle those separately, either through Windows Update or vendor tools.

Jawadul, if you look at the post from Dmitri Gornev, we are now able to push drivers though patch management. I have looked into it and see that under Windows (Microsoft Data) updates there are drivers and firmware. I am working on testing it now.
