We have some automation that is producing text reports and currently have to navigate to a file share to review. Is there a way to automatically pull the reports in and have them viewable in the job report section of Automic?

Previously, when we were on automic 12 this was configured but when converting to automic 21 this was removed from the solution we were provided. We are on 21.0.4 currently but working to upgrade to v24 soon.

    Hi,

I have not yet heared of this as an automatic option. But when you are for example running a Unix job you could simply use the cat command to display the file. This should include its content into the job report. Or do you want to have a special way of viewing such reports?

So I may have not been clear when I said viewing the report, so when reviewing the job reports of a job, in our case a windows job, is there a way to add a report to populate within the report drop down after a job finishes. See screenshot below, so in addition to those there would be another entry that links to that external report on a fileshare.

    Hi,

there were no changes in Automic with regards to report handling from 12 to 21 or 24. If you experience any changes then I assume the root cause is outside of Automic.

    Regards, Markus

    Hi,

maybe :REGISTER_OUTPUTFILE is what you are looking for. The file will then appear under "Directory"
