Hi, I am new to Service Virtualization.

I noticed in the DevTest Portal that there are agents configured for each environment. Could someone kindly help me understand the process of configuring these agents, as well as how to start and stop them?

When I try to change the settings for any of these agents, I'm unable to proceed because the Save button is disabled.

Keerthi,  what type of Agents are configured ?  You can stop the DevTest Broker Service  and  the Agents wont be available in the Portal.

Yeah right, if we stop the broker service the Agent won't be available. I have 2 questions.

    1. Let's say what if I want to configure a new Agent, how it's done
    2. In the List of available agents, one of the agent is showing offline, what's the process of bringing that agent Online?

Keerthi,  please tell what type of Agents are running?  JBoss? Java Agents? or Weblogic Agents..  here is the platform-specific information on Agents.

    https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/devops/devtest-solutions/10-8/agents/devtest-java-agent/java-agent-installation/platform-specific-agent-configuration.html

We configure Agents in the Start up script.

    Hi Keerthi,

Agents are part of Application Insight component of Service Virtualization.

Please look at the documentation on Using Application Insight and sub sections which will provide information on Agents configuration and more.

Check the documentation on Agents for more information.
