Container Gateway in Azure deployment with Application Gateway for Containers possible?

Hello,

Because we want to have MTLS supported in a secure Azure environment we want to use Application Gateway for Containers to get MTLS to our Layer7 API Gateway. 
We have read in Backend MTLS with Application Gateway for Containers - Gateway API that you have to Create Gateway and HTTPRoute. But is this a possible configuration for the Layer7 API Gateway?

Hello Sebastian,

Is your question whether the Layer7 API Gateway can replace the Azure Gateway for Containers? Or are you just asking if the gateway can be a container behind the Azure Gateway, and be the backend for MTLS? If the latter, then everything in front of the Layer7 API Gateway is transparent to it, and if the Azure Gateway for Containers properly supports MTLS to the Layer7 API Gateway, then the Layer7 API Gateway will do its part.

Hello Ben,

The question is if the Layer7 API Gateway container can be a container behind the Application Gateway for Containers as in the mTLS scenario here: Backend MTLS with Application Gateway for Containers - Gateway API 

So it can do proper Client Certificate authentication itself.
