Redhat x86_64 is a supported platform for a software gateway. However there is an assumption that the hardware or virtualization platform it is deployed on fully supports the Redhat OS and does not modify its behavior.
In the event that an issue were to present that ONLY impacts Redhat on Hyper-V, Broadcom support will likely troubleshoot to that point and ask that you work with Redhat and/or Microsoft to fix the issue. This would be true for any specific hypervisor.
Please note, that if Redhat behaves differently on Hyper-V this could be a major concern for anyone using that combination and should absolutely be addressed by Microsoft & Redhat. No application software vendor would agree to create custom versions of their applications for specific OS and hypervisor combinations.

Thanks Robert. In 2022, i had response from support that software Gateway does not limit customers' hypervisor choice. As long as we have a virtualised machine running a compatible OS (CentOS or RedHAT), weshould be able to install and run Gateway Software on top of it.
But now I am getting a vague response from support regarding v11.

I can't tell you whether Broadcom / Arrow will support that config, but it worked fine in the past. I am not aware of any reason why the current version won't work either.

Hi ,
Is software gateway on a Redhat VM but running on Microsoft Hyper-V supported? Has anybody done that?
