  • 1.  Clarification Regarding New Rule Creation in CA Risk Authentication

    Posted 10 days ago

    Hi All,

I am writing to seek clarification regarding the functionality of a new rule I am creating in CA Risk Authentication.

I am in the process of creating a new rule by combining other saved rules. I have a query regarding the interaction between the new rule and the saved rules from which it is derived.

My specific concern pertains to the disabling of the saved rules that I have selected for inclusion in the new rule.
If I disable these saved rules, will the new rule still be triggered and function as intended?

    Thanks,

    Hi Jaya,

From the explanation it looks like you are creating a combination rule. Combination rule can be created with Active rules only and not disabled ones. You can disable the scoring for the rule so you will not get any Advise back and it will be executed in the background and in this case combination rule will trigger but if you have disabled rule then that rule will not trigger in Combo rule.

Let me know if this make sense to you and if you have more questions.
