Subject: CCS New Features Summary - Level Set PTF 15.0.08
Level Set PTF 15.0.08 (LU14782) for the Common Components and Services for z/OS is now available.
The following list summarizes the features that are delivered by applying the Level Set PTF.
Note: For more information about these features, see Level Set 15.0.08 in the Common Components and Services for z/OS documentation.
- New CPOOL Parameter for the CAIRIM Parmlib Member
A new CPOOL parameter can now be specified in the hlq.CAW0OPTN(CARIMPRM) member. This parameter controls the allocation of a cell pool (CPOOL or storage pool) in CSA for system management facility (SMF) processing when you start CAIRIM.
- New CAICCI Health Check
A new health check, CCS_CCI_WLM_VERIFY, has been added. This health check verifies that the CAIENF and CCIxxxGW address spaces are in appropriate Workload Manager (WLM) service classes.
- CCS Apache Tomcat Upgrade
The CCS Apache Tomcat version has been upgraded to 9.0.91. Keeping this software current ensures that you have the latest functionality and protects you from security vulnerabilities.
- Support for 10-Digit Site IDs
The Resource Initialization Manager (CAIRIM) now supports site IDs that are up to 10 digits long. The longer length allows Broadcom to provide uninterrupted license checking support after all available 8-digit site IDs are assigned. Existing site IDs are still supported.
- Java 11 and Java 17 Support in CCS Apache Tomcat
CCS Apache Tomcat now provides full support for Java 11 and Java 17 for z/OS. These Java releases introduce several enhancements over the Java 8 implementation, including better execution performance and improved security.
