Brightside v4.0.17 with Zowe v2.18 Long-Term Support (LTS) Is Now Available

The Brightside team is pleased to announce the release of Brightside v4.0.17.

This release includes:

• Db2 Plug-in for Zowe CLI fix

• DBM for Db2 Plug-in for Zowe CLI fixes

• Zowe 2.18 updates

• Zowe CLI enhancements and fixes

• Zowe CLI Imperative Framework enhancements and fixes

Db2 Plug-in for Zowe CLI

Db2 Plug-in for Zowe CLI v5.0.9 includes the following updates:

• Updated axios transitive dependency to resolve technical debt. [#154]

DBM-DB2 Plug-in for Zowe CLI

DBM-DB2 Plug-in for Zowe CLI v1.29.0 includes the following updates:

• This release includes minor security improvements. An update is recommended.

• Added:

• API Mediation Layer gateway support for communication with the DBM Data Service.

• CLI and connection profile parameter basePath for routing REST requests to a specific DBM Data Service instance.

• CLI parameters token-type, token-value, cert-file, and cert-key-file for API Mediation Layer authentication.

Zowe 2.18 updates

Zowe CLI

Zowe CLI v7.29.1 includes the following updates:

• ssh commands now prompt the user up to three times to enter the correct keyPassphrase in the case that the stored value is incorrect or no value is stored. [#1770]

• Refactored code to reduce the use of deprecated functions to prepare for upcoming Node.js 22 support. [#2191]

• Resolved bug that resulted in the user not being prompted for a key passphrase if it is located in the secure credential array of the ssh profile. [#1770]
  

Zowe CLI Imperative Framework

Zowe CLI Imperative Framework v5.27.0 includes the following updates:

• Updated ProfileInfo.updateProperty function to support updating properties in typeless profiles. [#2196]

• Fixed missing export for Proxy class in Imperative package. [#2205]

• Fixed error in REST client when making requests with session type of SessConstants.AUTH_TYPE_NONE. [#2219]

• Refactored code to reduce the use of deprecated functions to prepare for upcoming Node.js 22 support. [#2191]

• Fixed issue in local web help with highlighted sidebar item getting out of sync. [#2215]

• Updated web help dependencies for technical currency. [#2215]

• Resolved bug that resulted in the user not being prompted for a key passphrase if it is located in the secure credential array of the ssh profile. [#1770]

• Modified showMsgWhenDeprecated function to allow an empty string as a parameter when no replacement is available for the deprecated command. When no replacement is available, an alternative message displays. [#2041]
