    Subject:   End of Service Announcement for Brightside 3.0

    Broadcom is continually working to improve our software and services to best meet the needs of our customers. In accordance with the Broadcom Software Maintenance Policy Handbook, please consider this email your written notification that we are discontinuing technical support for Brightside 3.0 effective September 30, 2024. This will allow our development organization to more effectively focus its resources and add value to the next release of Brightside.  After September 30, 2024, Broadcom will continue to make self-service support available until the end of your current maintenance term.

    We encourage you to plan for the migration to Brightside 4.0 as soon as possible, so you can take full advantage of the features and enhancements this release has to offer. For information on Brightside, please visit the Brightside pages at Support.  We also encourage you to visit the Release Notes >> New Features topic in the Brightside TechDocs for a comprehensive list of Brightside 4.0 features. For specific release and support lifecycle information on the associated Brightside 4.0 software products, visit the Brightside: Zowe, Code4z and Test4z Enterprise Support Fix Strategy Release and Support Lifecycle Dates.

    As Broadcom would like to make your upgrade to Brightside 4.0 as straightforward as possible, we are offering the following:

    • The latest supported Version/Release of Brightside 4.0, at no charge, as long as you have an active maintenance contract for Brightside.
    • Documentation to help you prepare for your upgrade to Brightside 4.0.
    • Accelerated time-to-value when you engage CA Broadcom Services to assist you with any or all parts of your upgrade. Additional information can be found at the Services site. Please contact your account representative to receive a quote for such services.
