Hello Automic Community.
in past (AWI < V21 ) we run AWI on Tomcat Servers. We use netscaler as loadbalancer. However the load balancing was a little bit tricky. At beginning with V11 and early V12 everything was fine, we run 3 Tomcat instances on 2 VM's (3 AWI war files for every AE Engine backend on 3 different ports). With AWI V12.3 something changed the sessions permanently aborted if user starts sessions on both VM's. After many hours of unsuccessful dealing with the problem we shutdown parallel instances.
With V21 we decided to give the jetty launcher a try. And well it is working very well. Sessions are stable and loadbalancing is working perfectly.
Now i play around with the idea of HA AWI webservice. Actually we have 3 VM's and share our werbservice with the loadbalancer. However sometimes a VM is going under maintenance and we must disconnect the VM from Loadbalancer. The loadbalancer has no problem and use the remaining webservices. One small problem remains, all user session on the VM going in maintenance droped, user losing their session data and have to login again.
- Has someone any experiance to build a HA AWI with Session Replication?
- If yes, which product do you use for session replication?
- Does the AWI support session replication?
If anyone has knowledge about AWI and Session replication, I would like to exchange experiences with them.
Best regards
