AppDynamics monitoring in OpenShift

Hi,

We have various API Gateways running in OpenShift, and would like to leverage the AppDynamics infrastructure that has been set up for other servers.

With the VMWare image based Gateways, we installed an AppDynamics agent into the Virtual Machine, which probably isn't the way to go for OpenShift.

Is there a pattern here we could re-use or guidance on how best to achieve this?

Hi Dave,

The best option is the AppDynamics Operator. This would cover Kubernetes metrics and facilitate application level metrics for the Gateway using their OTel support.
