    Hi All.

I have my first teach of this class in 2 weeks.

Curious if anyone has taught this class before..  (John you don't count.      )

I looked at the timing and my initial feeling is that there is not enough content for 5 days..  Now I was around for the original NSX-V ICM which could have been done in 3 days..  Lots of dancing and massive reviews...

Does anyone have any timing that they would like to share???

    Thanks///

I've delivered this class a few times now. In the first two deliveries, I was out of content of Thursday. During the evening, I introduced configuration mistakes/errors in the students labs so we could do some additional custom troubleshooting on Friday.

I've attached a schedule without any additional troubleshooting and stretched the content as much as I could. This means 1 hour lunch-breaks and ending Monday to Thursday at 15:00. Friday, you can start the evaluations before lunch.

As was mentioned in the TTT, and is reflected in the timing guide from the beta delivery, there is a lot of time to relax in this class.

During development, it was considered changing this to a 4-day class, but we didn't want to risk having too much stuff in too short a time.  The decision was also made to keep the class a bit light with NSX-T 3.2 on the horizon, which will include significant security updates, naturally impacting this class.

For what it's worth, my timing these days is a little different from the beta. I look at ending content, and stop when I hit that milestone, rather than worrying about stretching until 5pm.

    Day 1 I stop after module 5.

    Day 2 I stop after Module 6.

    Day 3 I stop after Module 8

    Day 4 I stop after Module 10

Day 5 is just module 11.

I have had a few classes where, when offered the choice, student said "keep going, and we'll just skip Friday"

Give some extra time for each lab, be a little more liberal with your breaks, and take your time. I kind of like this class being a bit lighter on content - it's sort of a break from some of our other classes.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

    Appreciate it.

I just ran my first class last week and my timing was pretty close to what John put in the Timing guide. - Had to do a ton of Demo's and examples to stretch things out..

    Day 1  - Mod 1-4

Day 2 -5 spot on from the timing guide.

I finished at noon on Friday and each day was around 4:00pm (1 or two days til 5:000pm - some students slow in the labs) with a 1 hour lunch..

Thanks again and have a good one.
