More NetMaster Metrics Are Available to WatchTower 1.2

Hello, NetMaster Community! 

New metrics available from NetMaster enable you to leverage even more NetMaster data from the WatchTower Platform.  

Your base NetMaster license includes access to the WatchTower Platform, so if you are not using WatchTower yet, please reach out to your Broadcom Account Director to get started. ​

With the release of WatchTower Platform 1.2, you can now use key connection encryption metrics and additional Enterprise Extender (EE) metrics with the WatchTower Dashboard and ML Insights capabilities. For example, with the new connection security metrics, network staff can use Dashboards to visualize the counts and percentages of secured connections in an environment. Using the metrics, network staff can assess the security of:

• The entire network at the TCP/IP stack level

• ​Connections associated with a specific business application

• Connections directed to a specific home address

• Connections originating from a specific remote network

 

Using the newly available Enterprise Extender metrics, a Network Administrator can create custom charts to visualize how much traffic on a specific control point (CP) is network/signal traffic, as opposed to data traffic. With information on the relative amount of traffic types, Network Administrators can make informed network planning decisions. For example, if a business partner is transitioning away from EE, unused EE links can be removed as needed in order to improve security, simplify network management, and optimize network performance.​
