    HI Plex 2E support enginner,

    I need your help.

    [Environment]
    CA 2E Plex r8.7.3

    [Question]

    I have some simple questions.

My customer had already applied perpetual license.
However, if they try to apply a time-limited license by accident while Plex 2E is working(running), how does it work?
    The time-limited license is applied?
Or the time-limited licence is NOT applied(failed)?
Or if they try to apply a time-limited license by accident while Plex 2E is NOT working(running), how does it work?
    The time-limited license is applied?
Or the time-limited license is not applied(failed)?

    Other question:

If we apply time-limited license or perpetual license., we must stop Plex 2E service.

    Correct or not?

    Best regards,
    Marubun

    Hello Marubun Support,

There is no way to display or recover the original license keys that were sent from our License team. If your end user loses the keys, please open a CA License support case to get the keys again.

    Thank you,
    Kaori

    Hi Kaori,

    I'm sorry to bother you.

My question is not about the license key.

    Please check my questions again.

If you cannot answer my questions, please asl Plex 2E Engineers.

    Best regards,

    Marubun,

    Hi Marubun Support,

Could you open a new support case for your query so that our Support Engineer can try to investigate it?

    Thank you,

    Kaori

In the past, when I have applied a temp license it was only for that product.  Any permanent license was not impacted.  Now if you are asking what would happen if you applied a temp license for say a generator that you already had a perm license for, i'm not sure what would happen, but i'm going to guess it would probably overwrite the existing license and then, well, there you go.

    Hi Team,
Hope you are doing good. In regards to the license installation, Time tested license will override the existing perpetual license. And it will override only the component which are mentioned in the new license file.
As per my understanding we had a chance to work with your support team in this regard. Please let me know if you have any further queries, We will be happy to address it.
This reference article should be of good use.
    Regards,Vinod.
