  • 1.  Any way to delete all Universal Connector data except SelfMonitoring?

Is there any quick way to remove Universal Connector data but leave the "Service Operations Insight" self-monitoring components? The toolbox would let me delete all connector data - but I assume that would delete the self monitoring objects too.

    Hi Brian,

unfortunaltey there is no such way.

If you remove the Connector, all data will be deleted.  This process is not aware that Self-Monitoring is something special.

Self-Monitoring is making use of the Universal Connector.

But it might be a good Idea to ask for a quick re-initialization of this Service without having to follow the documented process of having to change the setting for Self Monitoring several times with SOI Manager restarts.

    Hi Brian,

One workaround you can try, back out (and restore) the "CA Service Operations Insight Service" using SOI\tomcat\bin\WSSSAServiceCmd.bat command, delete entries for CA:09997 using soitoolbox than restore the service. Just keep in mind when you restore the service using WSSSAServiceCmd.bat command you'll see an additional projection from CA:09996 and a new connector listed on the SOIUI\Administration\Connector Configuration.

    Thanks
