Whenever I compile the mibs for NetQoS Reporter Analyzer and Super Agent, i get an error stating " Needed dependant module RFC-1213 NQsuperagent-MIB , RFC-1212 NQreporter-MIB, RFC-1215 NQreporter-MIB.

Where can i get these dependant mib modules?

    Thanks.

Are you compiling them one at a time or all together? Where did you get the MIBs you're compiling? You should check to see if they're the updated versions. Look here: ftp://ftp.ca.com/pub/netqos/supporttools/releasedtools/Support_Tools_Add-on_Pack_DIR/NetQoS%20MIBs/

    Hi Stuart,

I was compiling the mibs for NetVoyant, Reporter and Super Agent all together.

NetVoyant was successfully compiled but got an error with the rest.

After the installation of Support Tool 6 pack, there is a folder extracted with NetQoS Mibs. I took the mibs from there.

The link you provided has the same mibs as from the Support tool pack.

Also, there is no mib file for SuperAgent 9, although the reporter 9 mib file gives en error in compiling.

Kindly Suggest how to remove these dependencies.

    Thanks,

What product are you trying to compile the MIBs into? I'm able to compile the SA and RA MIBs into NV just fine. Perhaps you are missing some standard MIBs. RFC-1213, RFC-1212, and RFC-1215 are industry standard MIBs that should come pre-compiled into most SNMP polling products.

    Hi Stuart,

I am trying to compile the mibs into an IBM product. It is pre-loaded with the industry standard mibs.

In NetVoyant, i am able to find the compiled mibs (NQreporter, NQsuperagent) in the Mibs tab when loggin into console.

But unable to find these mibs on the server if serached.

Kindly suggest where do i find these files.

    Thanks,
    Mohammed Kazim Abrar

You won't find any of the actual mib files on the system ever since the CA lawyers thought that might be copyright infringement. They are compiled into the db, but the files themselves aren't on the system. Have you checked the dependencies as listed at the beginning of all the NetQoS mibs to make sure your IBM system has the 'industry standard' mibs compiled?

    Hi Stuart,

I did check and found all the industry standard mibs compiled.

I have compiled the Netvoyant Mibs without any errors.
When i forward the events from NV to IBM, I can see the threshold notifications accurately forwarded with exact description as on NV. This works perfectly :)

But there are some events that the IBM is receiving from NV and says that "No rules found for Enterprise ID : 1.3.6.1.4.1.4498.7 " ???

How to rectify this dependancy ???

    Thanks,
    Mohammed Kazim Abrar
