    Hi guys,

I'd like to use polices in ITCM to hide the systray icon on my servers. Where can this be configured? I'd prefer that admins run an registers/job checks from the command line and that normal users not be able to see the CA icons in the systray.

    Thanks in advance.

Configuration Policy - Two settings one is for the systray, one for notification area.

    /DSM/Common Components/CAF/System Tray

    System Tray:Hidden
    System Tray:Visible

Thanks for the info. I will give it a try. How do a force a policy refresh at the client?

    No Need

configuration policy is automatically applied as soon as you seal the policy on the DM. (May take a few moments to replicate down)

for this specific policy though you may not see the effect until restart as the ICON will already be on

you can manually hide it with

    cfsystray hide

after this try cfsystray show and with the policy in place this should not then display
