Monitor the blocking of SQL sessions on servers

Hi Folks,

 

We have a requirement of monitoring the SQL servers for blocking of sessions. We need to configure an alert whenever the session on any SQL server is blocked. Can we implement this with any of the available metrics of sql_server probe 5.10. If no, please suggest us a way to achieve the monitoring of session blocking on sql servers.

The sqlserver probe does have the ability to alarm on Blocked Users "Monitors the number of user blocked". Perhaps that can fulfill the need.
