By adding in the header and only allowing certain headers checkbox that it will only send through the useremail to the backend and leave the inbound headers out. If you want to add this to the existing headers then use the Manage Transport Properties/Header assertion - Manage Transport Properties/Headers Assertion - CA API Gateway - 9.3 - CA Technologies Documentation along with uncheck "Pass through only certain request headers".

It means only the selected header(s) will be sent to backend.

    Please refer to the document,

Route via HTTP(S) Assertion - CA API Gateway - 9.4 - CA Technologies Documentation

If you want to control the header list here, you need to add all headers needed by the http communication.

In most occasions, we should allow pass through all headers, if we need to handle certain headers, we can just use the header assertion, Manage Transport Properties/Headers Assertion - CA API Gateway - 9.4 - CA Technologies Documentation
