  • 1.  How to change language to new confirmation message?

    Hello! I have just upgraded to 17.1 and in Service Catalog i can see a new confirmation message when i create a new request:

     

     

    As my installation and the whole Catalog is in Spanish the message still appears in English, is it possible to translate this message?

    And also, is it possible to add a link to the request?

    Good Morning Sebastian.

    This new functionality is introduced with SC R17.1(and SC R14.1.05).
    Isn't this message then automatically appearing in Spanish, as is the rest of the Catalog pages?
    Are the 'other' Catalog pages appearing in Spanish?

    Good Morning Sebastian.

     

    Further checking for this on a local 17.1 environment, I set the browser language in Spanish.

    And the Catalog pages appear in Spanish there after.

    And I also see the 'confirmation' message to appear in English.

     

    Although the below shows different:
    This string is set/defined in the "catalogbrowse.xml" and some other files (see below).
    For the U.S. English language, this file is located in folder:
    "%USM_HOME%\view\webapps\usm\locale\icusen\request".
    <message>Message:</message>
    <success_submit_message>Your request is placed successfully and is under process:</success_submit_message>

    For the Spanish language, this file is located in folder:
    "%USM_HOME%\view\webapps\usm\locale\iceses\request".
    <message>Mensaje:</message>
    <success_submit_message>Solicitud enviada correctamente:</success_submit_message>

    Helloo Sebastian.

    on top of Catalog 17.1, there is a published patch SO00962 available to address some issues.
    You can get SO00962 from the following URL after login support.ca.com site with your account:

    And after I aplied this patch loocally, I still see the English 'Confirmation' message to appear.

    Perhaps you need to open a standard case for this. To get this analized in depth and possibly then fixed for you.

    With Service Desk 17 the behaviour is the same? or the message is different?

    Hi Sebastian.

     

    And then I see there is already a Defect created for this situation.

    The confirmation message appears in English, whatever language the browser is set for.
