When you say "less resource", do you mean less RAM?
I would not recommend going with minimum where you can barely boot the PAM server because I have seen issue where the PAM encounters issue and not displaying anything on the screen because the application hits "OOM" (Out of Memory) issue.
Also, with initial configuration you may not encounter any issues but as you have more uses accessing concurrently you will eventually encounter unexpected behaviour due to the reason mentioned above.
