Error occured while installing Automation Engine on Linux in Unattended mode

Hi All,

I am trying to install AE on RHEL6 using the shell script(install.sh) in Unattended mode. I have given the Var file and the installation directory as parameters but while running the script it is throwing JAVA "ConcurrentModificationException" error. The screenshot is attached regarding the same. Could anyone please tell me the root cause of this exception.

Does the issue occur if you use the "Command Line Mode"  instead of unattended mode as explained below?

Can you please upload the .varfile with the installation parameters.
Please remove all the environment information like hostname, username, etc.

Another question would be - Does it work in COMMAND LINE mode?

Did the license you're using expire? Just open the 35015.txt and make sure you do not see an entry like 20171231.

No I think the license file looks fine. It's valid upto 20221231.

Yes the user has all privileges to both DB and file system. I have accessed the DB using SQL plus and it worked perfect.
One more update is that I tried to install in command line mode but again I got a different exception this time. Could you please go through the attached log file and provide us the solution. It's a blocker for us.

The log show this error:

SEVERE: Check the installation log for more details. The installation log is located in /fs0/automic/installation_dir/install.log

java.io.IOException: Unexpected exception while copying files

-----
Caused by: java.nio.file.FileAlreadyExistsException: /fs0/automic/installation_dir/Automation.Platform/Utility/bin/libgcc_s.so


It seems that the OneInstaller did not remove all files.
Can you please make sure that there are not folders/files left from a former installation and then please try again.

Thanks for your time. I did remove all the files in the installation directory and tried reinstalling for about three times but still I am getting the same "DB LOAD FAILED" error. I feel like I am missing out on something.  :(

Marcin_Uracz_10341  Thanks for the great idea.I have checked the db utility log file and it says that table or view doesn't exist?. I must tell you that I have mentioned Service ID (SID) in Automic.var file instead of db schema. So do I need to modify tnsname.ora. I'm bit confused. Please find the attached log file.

ORA-00959: tablespace 'UC4_DATA' does not exist'

Take a look at the documentation for setting up the Oracle db.

Yeah the db is empty. I thought the script would create everything if we give empty db. It was easy for me to install AWA in Windows, even there I have just created empty DB and it did install perfectly. I wonder why isn't the same with Linux.

What does "Path to uc4_data.ora" mean in the following screenshot? As per my knowledge Datafile ends with .DBF extension but why is it showing .ORA here. ?

Please create a tablespace called uc4_data.ora and another one called uc4_index.ora . The tablespace extension can be anything in Oracle, it doesn't have to be dbf.

Need your help again. Since I have successfully installed AWA on Linux in unattended mode, I am trying to do the same in other data center and on a different Linux machine, but unfortunately I am getting error while installing "Analytics Datastore". Even though the installation setup is new, I don't understand why it is showing "UPGRADE" in the log file (attached screenshot).

Srujan_Pathuri_9871 , I think that the "upgrade" message is normal even during a fresh install, never took much notice of that, paid more attention to the current version / status  :) 

As for the datastore. Did you install it on the other node also ? While doing manual installs, even when I used the binaries provided in the AWA Installation package,  I needed additional postgres libraries / rpms to make it work. Maybe this is the problem?

I have just compared both installation log files(generated in two nodes) and I don't see any UPGRADE message in the successful installation log file which was also a fresh install. Any possible reason for this difference?

And regarding datastore, yes I did install datastore in the first node along with other components using ONE installer. I am just running the shell script from the same package. I wonder why it didn't need any additional libraries in the earlier installation. 

However, could you please mention those additional libraries. Will give it a try.

Hmm, I don't remember now by heart. I think these where the libs and contrib packages for the 9.6 Postgres (as the is the one I used)

Actually after some thought, if it worked on one node it should on the others. So it really should not be necessary to add anything.  So there has to be something else wrong. 

Anyhow if you want to give it a go, the packages can be found on the postgres download site.
