Rally Best Practice - Two Teams - One Backlog

At the beginning of the year we had two Scrum teams supporting two separate products.  Due to changes in priority we now have both teams supporting one product.   The user stories are still in two backlogs.   What are the pros and cons of having just one backlog for the two teams?
