  • 1.  Creating a test set template

    Is there a way to create a test set under "Track > Release Status" so that it can be copied over and over with varying environments/builds? I know you can copy test sets but the copies also update the original (e.g. test case owners, defects associated, etc.). So, basically, I want to be able to create a test set template that contains only tests and is independent of any copies that I make.

    We are currently running this build: almci-master-21764

    Thanks!

    HI Julian;

    Copies of Test Sets is easiest from the Iteration Status page using the gear icon > copy option an the left side of the Test Set line item on the page.  From there you could bulk edit the copy and remove the owner from the Test Set and related Test Cases.  The release and iteration can also be cleared from the Test Set and/or a Project assigned.  Leaving this Test Set 'template' for future at you can place it in an appropriate Project.  From there you could copy it, assign it to a new Project, Release, Iteration, owner, etc. as you desire.  Hopefully this will help.
