I want to create a virtual service for 100 different test data (parameterization) or want to create for whole database?
And plan to do automation using UFT to create the virtual services..But i have no idea how to do??
Which is the most efficient and current trend way??
Friends any updates for the above question??
Do you have access to a teammate within your organization that has DevTest experience? If so, that person or persons would be able to help you quicker / faster than we can in this forum.
We do not have enough information to provide specific answers to your question. If you are referring to interface level recording, read on.
The optimal approach is to use the DevTest recorder technology to record the use cases. To do this, you would need to point the system you are testing (system-under-test) to the recorder's endpoint. You would need to know the type of transport (HTTP, JMS, CICS, IMS Connect, etc.) that the system uses for communication. You would point the recorder to the live system. Use UFT to drive the tests from the UI through the system -> recorder -> Live system and back.... After recording the transactions, you can manipulate the asset according to your Use Case requirements, deploy virtual services, and use the asset for playback.
There are several videos (search Google videos for *devtest api recording*) that will give insight on this technique. There are also other approaches for creating services, but recording is the best technique.
