Official patches that come from CA Support will normally get applied in DEVTEST_HOME\lib\patches folder starting with DevTest 8.0.0. If a patches folder does not exist, create one.
All patches will only be delivered through a Support case, not through Communities.
Support will tell you exactly where to apply the patch and what DevTest components that need to be restarted.
We do have some fixes that get applied to different folders and Support will give you explicit instructions on how to apply it.
Do not apply any patches that do not come from CA Support.
