Carry Forward Projects

We are trying to find an OOB option to tag Carry Forward projects. Could you share how it is done in your company OOB or Custom?

Is simple Yes/No attribute enough or do you need something more detailed or some kind of process?

Hi Davor,

 

We are all set with this. We didn't want to create any custom field to capture this data. We decided to use *CO-* in the Project name.

May I ask why you did not want to create custom field?

The disadvantage of categorizing projects by their name is that you can spell ‘CO-‘ in many ways with small and capital letters and even misspell completely.

But again great it works for you…

Absolutely agree with the issue of going against the name rather than a custom field.

 

This is a one time exercise and  creating the custom field it won't be showing up on the OOB portlets.That's why we decided to go with the name.

You are right, custom field does not show up automatically when you create it but it only takes a minutte to add it to OOB views :-)
