Not able to open Management Console in Linux

Hi,

I'm not able to open Management Console from Red Hat V6.6.

 

I've opened Xming and enabled the X11 checkbox in Putty. While running smconsole, I'm getting the below error:-

 

Can't connect to X11 window server using 'localhost:10.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable.

 

Tried export DISPLAY=localhost:0.0 too but of no use.

Hi Avinash,

 

Have you looked at this :http://www.geo.mtu.edu/geoschem/docs/putty_install.html

This is what I followed to configure Xming and it worked like a charm.

 

If this still doesn't work then look at other altenative like Moba Xterm.
