    Hi

I am using eHealth 6.3.0, I am trying to generate bandwidth report using Top N Reports, however, bandwidth utilization is showing more than 100%, say 158.9% what does it mean?

    please guide anyone

Check the Interface speed. Most likely it it set lower than the actual speed of the interface.

Yes, when you configure the interfaces on a device, you usually have to set 'bandwidth 2000000' or something. Usually this happens when a circuit is upgraded without updating eHealth - eg. if you upgrade a 1Mbps link to 2Mbps.

    1. Get the network guys to configure the true/current 'bandwidth' for the specific interface on the device.

    2. Rediscover the device in eHealth

Note: You can manually edit the speed of the interface in OneClick but it's better to do a rediscover as this will update ALL interfaces which may have been updated.

This should update any metrics and when you run reports should be below or on 100%.

In some cases, using compression on a link also causes this.

    ....

are this devices which run Net-SNMP?

eHealth takes the speed of the interface via "ifSpeed" .. and in many cases, a NetSNMP-Stack reports 10Mbit/s (Autospeed ..)

But if the Interface is running with 100 MBit/s You will report wrong data.

Another case, ... some interfaces, like aggregated Interface report fantastic speeds in their "ifSpeed". .. sometimes simply 32^2.

Mostly it helps to compare the speed of the Switch-Port and the Device-Speed.

.. I know, this reply doesn´t help because we are sitting in the same boat.
